| Of All the Anthropologie Dresses, This Looks Incredible on Everyone - Glamour Posted: 06 Sep 2019 10:21 AM PDT As we were putting together Glamour's first-ever Plus-Size Fashion Awards, one thing became abundantly clear: Anthropologie is killing it. The brand first expanded into plus this past March, with a full range of sizes from 00P to 26W. A slapdash effort this was not: Anthropologie did its due diligence by making sure the styles in its plus collection matched those available in straight sizes. Yes, plus lives in a separate tab online, in case you just want to jump to a section you know you can shop in—but when you click on an item anywhere else on the site, it'll clearly tell you if that style comes in the full range, all in one link. If that sounds like an obvious thing to do, the reality is that it's still pretty revolutionary for a brand to offer plus sizes in the exact same styles—to purchase both online and in stores—as shoppers size 12 and under. But it's not just the shopping experience that Anthro is nailing. Its dresses (and jumpsuits) this season are so good, it's a danger to your bank account. There's one dress in particular, though, that's on its way to Amazon Coat and Leopard-Print Midi status. In other words, it's everywhere. Oh, and it's a Glamour Plus-Size Fashion Award winner. Anthropologie's Lucienne Off-the-Shoulder Maxidress retails for $180 and is available in its full size range, from 00P to 26W. When we had our Plus-Size Fashion Award judges test it out, the response was pretty strong. Here's just a sampling of what they exclaimed (no hyperbole), when they tried it on: "It's really chic! Puffy sleeves usually never work on me." —Samhita Mukhopadhyay, Teen Vogue executive editor "I feel fabulous. I'm a new woman. It's like my own Britney moment." —P.S. Kaguya, influencer "I. Love. These. Sleeves." —Jessica Torres, influencer The reviews on the site are just as enthusiastic. "This dress exceeded all expectations. It's one of those pieces that you've not really seen before, but still feels familiar in the best way," wrote one size 26 shopper. "i. LOVE. this. DRESS!" said a size 10 fan. "Absolutely fell in love with this beauty! But have no current places to wear it so I will just tell others to get it!" added another size 4 commenter, echoing what our editors have pretty much been doing since it won for Best Cocktail Dress. |
| The 6 Biggest Fall Dress Trends for 2019 - WHOWHATWEAR Posted: 05 Sep 2019 09:00 PM PDT ![]() We're happy to write extensively about sweaters, boots, and skinny jeans, but there's more to fall than those fashion items alone. We saw so many jaw-dropping dresses on the F/W 19 runways that we knew back in February that this was going to be a big season for frocks. Sure enough, at Copenhagen Fashion Week (which really kicks off fashion month), the streets were lined with some of the most stylish women in the world, many of whom were wearing those fall dress trends that we spotted on the runways months ago. Wearing dresses when it's warm out is a no-brainer, but we encourage you not to forget that it's an option when there's a chill in the air too. By simply adding tights and boots or even layering it over jeans or pants, a dress is suddenly one of the most appropriate things you can wear for fall. So with that, keep scrolling to find out which six fall dress trends are blowing up, and shop some of our favorites on the market for each. |
